Aqib Talib’s Wipeout On National TV Is Proof That We’re All A Little Clumsy

Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib has to be feeling euphoric this morning. His team put on one of the great defensive efforts ever in a Super Bowl, and the Broncos came away with a somewhat surprising 24-10 win over the Panthers, shutting down league MVP Cam Newton in the process. After the game, Talib made it perfectly clear how he was going to spend his evening—which included “personal time” with his wife—and made an appearance on NFL Network’s broadcast.

And, in the height of his joy, Talib came slidin’ into some DMs like…

Apparently, the cleat issues both teams had throughout the game on the turf of Levi’s Stadium—which was a very real issue; Talib himself called the turf conditions “terrible” when speaking to the press after the game—extended to the slippery stage of a network broadcast. To Talib’s credit, he got up pretty quickly and told everyone he was alright. It probably wasn’t even embarrassing, either. He just won the biggest game of his life (and played well, too, with a couple of pass deflections, five tackles and a facemask takedown). Nothing’s going to bring him down now, not even a little slip-up, literally, on national television.
