An Army Softball Player Went Airborne For This Incredible Highlight At Home Plate

Army took on Lehigh in a college softball playoff game on Saturday afternoon. If you missed it, you happened to miss one of the wildest plays at home plate you’ll ever see. Just take a look at this:

That is Army junior infielder Kasey McCravey going airborne to completely clear the catcher at home. Not only did McCravey showcase some incredible hops, she also had the wherewithal to twist her body and get a hand on the plate before the catcher even had any idea what the hell just happened. It was just an absolutely incredible highlight full of athleticism, awareness and smarts.

As you’d expect, McCravey and the rest of her teammates went nuts following the play, and for good reason. The run helped them go on to beat Lehigh 3-1 and secure a spot in the championship game.

McCravey is majoring in kinesiology at West Point, which seems very appropriate. I’m sure Army is glad to have her, but something tells me she would have done just fine in the Air Force as well.
