The Panthers’ Twitter Account Roasted A Star From ‘The Office’

It’s been a rough week for alumni of The Office. While Steve Carell is probably riding high considering his movie The Big Short was nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars,  John Krasinski (Jim Halpert) and David Denman (Roy Anderson) both appeared in the Michael Bay Benghazi movie 13 Hours which bombed in its first weekend at the box office, managing only fourth place.

In addition to the above Office storylines, noted Seattle Seahawks fan Rainn Wilson (Dwight Schrute) had to watch his team go down 31-0 at halftime in their playoff game against the Carolina Panthers, only for them to mount an incredible second half comeback that fell just short in a 31-24 Panthers victory.

Continuing to prove they are the best at twitter, the Panthers social media team couldn’t just let Wilson mourn without pouring a little salt on the wound. The team’s official account responded to a tweet that the actor sent out prior to the Seattle loss that proclaimed his Seahawks were a lock for a Super Bowl rematch against the New England Patriots, making an absolutely perfect Office joke at his expense.

The Panthers may have lost one game on the field this year, but they remain undefeated on social media.
