On August 15, the Orioles were five games above .500 and in the thick of the A.L. Wild Card race. Then they went on an incredible skid, losing 12 of their next 13 games, all but eliminating themselves from postseason contention. It’s been a horrible couple weeks for Baltimore fans.
So, you’ll forgive this lonely fan in the outfield seats for losing interest in the 11th inning of he O’s-Rays game on Wednesday night, and deciding to catch up on a little sleep. Although it was nice of Chris Davis to give him a wakeup call in the form of a monster walk-off homer.
Probably more fun the waking up to the sound of a beeping alarm clock.
