The Cleveland Indians May Have Finally Come Up With The Most Ridiculous Hot Dog Topping

Would you eat a hot dog topped with Froot Loops, bacon and mac & cheese? I have no idea why you would want to do such a thing, but the Cleveland Indians are hoping you’ll give it a shot.

Progressive Field in Cleveland has a new hot dog vendor called Happy Dog this season, and they’ve got one of the weirder menu items you’ll see across baseball — or any sport, really — this year. The odd combination of ingredients listed above can be found in their “Slider Dog,” which was probably the brainchild of some stoned bro with a savage sense of consolidation. That’s the only explanation for the marriage of four things nobody has ever craved together at once, especially at a baseball game.

One of my favorite summer traditions every year is shoving hot dogs into my fat face while I watch baseball in the sun, but I’m a traditionalist — it’s any combination of ketchup, mustard, and relish for me. (Don’t get me started on the war against ketchup on hot dogs. I have more important battles to fight.) I’m not going to say this Slider Dog creation is a bad idea when I haven’t tasted it. I’m sure Happy Dog is a successful vendor for a reason and somebody had to enjoy this thing enough to put it on the menu.

In fact, the early reviews are pretty positive, it seems.

That being said, as much as I enjoy Froot Loops, bacon and mac & cheese, I think I’ll stick to my classic ballpark frank toppings once again this summer. I’ll let you braver folk give it a shot and report back to me.
