While you can imagine how good it felt for Pat McAfee to lay out David Bruton on this Denver punt return, it had to hurt a little to still end up giving up the touchdown. It’s something of a Pyrrhic victory but, when you’re a punter, you don’t often get the chance to celebrate even that.
Good work, kid. Better work would have been saving the touchdown, but at least you can always show folks this clip when they say punters aren’t real NFL players.
As for Bruton? Well, he can’t be looking forward to film review tomorrow. We’re sure his teammates will have plenty of fun with this clip.
