Conor McGregor Continues To Talk Trash About Everyone In The UFC

You’re not going to believe this, but Conor McGregor had a public platform on Friday night and used it to talk smack on someone. The platform was the World MMA Awards at The Venetian in Las Vegas, where McGregor took home the awards for Fighter of the Year and International Fighter of the Year. He wasn’t able to make it to the ceremony as he’s training for his March 6 fight against lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, so he had to send in a pre-recorded acceptance speech that played after he won Fighter of the Year.

During the video, McGregor wanted to take a second to call out another UFC champion: Fabricio Werdum. The UFC 196 main event was supposed to be Werdum defending his title against Cain Velasquez on Feb. 6, but both men had to drop out. Velasquez pulled out first and Werdum pulled out the next day due to cracked toe and a strained back, which led to that event becoming a Fight Night card. Now, UFC 196 will be headlined by McGregor/dos Anjos.

While Werdum said he’d still have fought if Velasquez didn’t drop out first, McGregor isn’t happy with his decision.

“You’ve got the heavyweight champion who’s a p*ssy pulling out with a sore toe,” McGregor said in the video. “How’s the heavyweight champion going to pull out with a sore toe? What kind of champion is that?”

Ideally the next time that Werdum and McGregor are in the same room as each other, someone’s recording their interaction, because odds are it’s going to be interesting.
