After a rookie season marred by injury and general anonymity, DeVante Parker is coming into his own during his sophomore campaign. He showed why on Sunday, as he might have submitted the best play of his young NFL career. The Miami Dolphins’ wide receiver left his feet for a gorgeous diving catch against the San Francisco 49ers, and Parker’s grab came at an optimal time with the heavily favored Dolphins trailing by a 7-0 margin in the early going.
The drive was capped off with a rushing touchdown from Miami’s Jay Ajayi and the biggest play came from DeVante Parker. Parker isn’t a household name in the way that most first-round picks can claim at the glamour position of wide receiver, but if he continues to submit highlight-worthy plays like this on a regular basis, Parker’s star will certainly grow.
