Want To Watch Dez Bryant Race A Horse?

Before Dez Bryant became a Dallas Cowboy and one of the NFL’s most feared wide receivers, he was a standout with the Oklahoma State Cowboys in college. With so much experience as a Cowboy, it’s no surprise to see Bryant gallivanting with a horse.

While at OSU, Bryant apparently developed a competitive relationship with the school’s mascot horse, which may have been the only mammal on campus that was capable of beating Bryant in a race. These videos of the two racing inside Boone Pickens Stadium are from Bryant’s college days but, for some reason, they’ve only recently hit the internet. While the horse is the clear victor in the first video (above), Bryant fares much better in a second race (below).

It looks like Bryant may have gotten a bit of a head start in the latter sprint but, even so, it looked awfully close to being a tie at the finish line, which is still ridiculously impressive for a dang human with only a mere two legs. It’s already pretty incredible that Bryant slipped to the 24th overall pick in the 2010 NFL draft, but maybe that’s just because horse racing isn’t a part of the combine yet.
