The Drunkest Person At This Soccer Match Might Be The Mascot

Austrians are legendary drinkers, so it’s not much of a surprise that the first recorded instance of a mascot being drunk in the middle of a damn soccer game any of us have seen comes from the fine country. Super Leo is the lion in charge of rallying support for Austrian Bundesliga side Austria Wien, but he couldn’t even support himself.

An Austrian news article (titled “Party Tiger,” which, come on man, he’s a lion) says it was the man behind the mane’s 42nd birthday, which he spent at a “lion festival” (that’s what Google translate calls it anyway) before heading over to the soccer game. The footage above comes from the end of the game, so we can safely assume Super Leo did not take the 90 minutes to sober up.

Honestly, Super Leo is so wasted that it’s just a step past being funny, but who am I to deny drunken mascot action to the masses? Guess his BAC in the comments.
