Felice Herrig Gets The Dominant Hometown Submission At UFC On FOX 20

“She just threw a slobbery mouthguard and people jumped for it.” – That quote from Joe Rogan is a testament to the good people of Chicago (I should be at this show!) and how Felice Herrig is slowly-but-surely becoming a beloved fighter in the women’s strawweight division. It doesn’t hurt that Felice is from the Chicago area, has spent a good amount of time on Ninja Warrior, and possibly had the best performance of her career tonight at UFC on FOX 20.

Her old Invicta boss and Crystal Lake’s own Bryan Bulaga shared in the celebration:

Now, to be clear, Felice has a way to go before challenging for a strawweight title. She’s 2-1 in the UFC, but 2-2 in her last 4 fights. This win over Curran was solid, but Curran was also an up-and-comer that could’ve used a few more fights before going against crafty vet Herrig.

Still, this shows off the extremely fun women’s strawweight division on FOX. More people need to keep their eyes on this group of ladies because every fight they put on is typically a show.
