This Guy Pulled A Real-Life Gloria Clemente With An NHL Question On ‘Jeopardy!’

The answer: “100+ assists in an NHL season has been accomplished only 13 times, 11 times by this player.” The question, of course, is “Who is Wayne Gretzky?” Hell, even if you didn’t know that, and you’re one of three Jeopardy! contestants with the chance to ring in, just click your damn button and say, “Who is Wayne Gretzky?” because guessing the Great One on any question involving hockey is better than what happened with this specific answer. Poor Joe might as well have said, “Who is Babe Ruth?” because his brain fart made him ask, “Who is Magic Johnson?” and Alex Trebek didn’t just say no, he said, “Oh no.” Because that answer was just plain wrong, Joe.

I’m hoping the majority of people get the title of this post, but in case you don’t, Gloria Clemente was played by Rosie Perez in White Men Can’t Jump, and she wasn’t very good at the sports category on Jeopardy!.

(Fast forward to 2:37 for the Jeopardy! scene that apparently isn’t on YouTube in a non-Amazon video form.)
