On the list of awkwardly hilarious things to watch, seeing someone get left hanging on a high-five attempt is certainly near the top of the list. This poor Carolina Panthers fan just couldn’t manage to slap hands with his buddy during the team’s preseason game on Saturday night and, fortunately for us all, cameras successfully documented the failure.
You can’t fault this guy for lack of effort, though, but his repeated taps on his buddy’s shoulder didn’t yield the results he had been hoping for. The important question here is whether the other dude was intentionally trying to deny this guy’s high-five, or if he was just so enthralled by the game that his peripheral awareness was compromised.
Regardless, it looked like the high-five seeker got his bud’s attention eventually, but the broadcast immediately cut away, leaving us ALL hanging. Life is cruel sometimes.
