All The Nostalgic Pop Culture References You May Have Missed In ESPN’s ‘I Hate Christian Laettner’

ESPN’s 30 for 30 film “I Hate Laettner” was a marvelous, in-depth look at perhaps the most hated man in college basketball history, Duke’s Christian Laettner. A player on a team that won two National Championships and reached the Final Four in four consecutive seasons between 1988 and 1992. He capped off his amazing collegiate career as the only amateur member of the 1992 Dream Team that won Olympic gold in Barcelona.

Unsurprisingly, the film took us back to the late ’80s and early ’90s with references to movies and bands of the time.
