Jake Butt is a popular football player among folks on the Internet. Part of this is because he is really good – Michigan’s star tight end is second on the team in receptions (14) and yards (132) with one touchdown on the season.
More importantly, lots of people love Jake Butt because of his last name. Everyone, including Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh, really like that his last name gives them a reason to say “Butt” over and over. It is remarkably dumb, but few things are more fun than when Butt does anything and the Internet blows up with people saying “Butt.”
Today, Michigan has a huge game in the Big House against the No. 22 team in America, BYU. Some people who really like Butt decided to make the trip to Ann Arbor wearing an assortment of Butt shirts. Nice Butt, I Want More Butt, I Like Big Butt, Black Butt, and Kick Butt all made the voyage to Ann Arbor to support college football’s most well-known Butt.
The best thing is that Butt said this is only a small percentage of the Butts that we are going to see today. Hopefully the entire Butt family shows up for today’s game, because college football can never have enough Butts.
