The second round of the British Open was delayed for a lengthy period of time on Friday morning. To stay prepared, John Daly decided to hit a bucket of balls on the range. And while he was at it, his cigarette butt, too.
It was a solid pun by the announcer, who chimed in that he “was really smoking it on the range.”
Incredibly, despite his well-documented former vices (he claims to be sober since 2008), Daly continues to stay relevant in the golf world. He shot an opening-round 71, and began the day six strokes off the lead.
