Watch John Oliver Perfectly Capture The Awful Life Of An NCAA Student-Athlete In ‘March Sadness’

It’s Monday, so you know what that means: John Oliver and the folks at Last Week Tonight have a new video railing against another of America’s social injustices. This week’s edition focuses on collegiate athletics and the NCAA’s continued unwillingness to pay its student-athletes, despite a seemingly endless number reasons why their position on the issue seems silly and unfair. In fact, Oliver spends a good 18 minutes or so going over them in another classic rant. Towards the end, they’ve created a mock video game in the likes of something EA Sports would release titled “March Sadness 2015,” that gives us the opportunity to find out what life is really like for student-athletes outside their respective sporting arenas.

“Any game could give you the excitement of college athletics. But that’s only about two percent of your week. For the first time, you’ll get to experience the other 98%.”

Cue a college basketball coach calling you a f*cking idiot. Rated “E” for Exploitative.
