Lil Jon Threw Out The Opening Pop Fly At Friday’s Dodgers Game

One of my favorite moments during Saturday night’s UFC 160 PPV was when the camera showed rapper and Dave Chappelle muse Lil Jon bro-hugging some random guy who was barely important enough to be on camera, because it just adds fuel to my long-standing argument that the UFC really needs to start reaching out to more celebrities. I mean, unless people are impressed by Linkin Park’s bass player and Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis, in which case I’ll just shut up and mind my own.

But the funny thing about Lil Jon and that other random dude is that it was actually UFC legend Royce Gracie, who wasn’t fit to share more than 1/10 of the screen with a guy who is famous for shouting, “SKEET SKEET SKEET SKEET” and “WHAT!”. And while I keep trying to figure out why Lil Jon is still famous – aside from recent appearances on The Celebrity Apprentice and The Jenny McCarthy Show – he was also at Dodger Stadium on Friday to throw out the opening pitch.

It went about as well as you’d expect.

It’s fitting that he was also hanging out with Taylor Lautner before the game, because guys with inexplicable fame and success usually travel in packs.
