A College Football Recruit Committed To Clemson While Chopping Down A Tree To ‘Danger Zone’

Logan Rudolph is a four-star tight end/defensive end recruit who has received offers from numerous top-tier college football programs around the country. On Friday, Rudolph announced he was committing to Clemson, and he did so in amusing fashion.

Rudolph took to Twitter to post video of his announcement while chopping down a tree with an axe, while shirtless, with short jorts, set to the tune of “Danger Zone.” We’ve seen recruits commit to schools in plenty of unique ways but I’m confident saying that this is a first.

He gets points for originality and the serious delivery (and the jorts) but loses points for not actually finishing the job on the tree while the camera was rolling. The tree-chopping becomes less badass when there’s no payoff of a tree coming down.

The Northwestern High School (Rock Hill, S.C) junior will be heading off to join the home state Tigers next year, and it seems like they’ll be acquiring his sense of humor in addition to his football skills.
