Raiders Punter Marquette King Celebrated A Penalty By Dancing With A Referee’s Flag

The Raiders’ Marquette King is no ordinary punter. This much is already clear. He has a booming leg and might be the most dancing-est player in the entire NFL. I mean this man loves to dance. So what does he do when he gets rocked after a punt hard enough to earn a roughing the kicker penalty and basically clinch the Raiders’ tenth win of the season? He dances, with the referee’s penalty flag. Naturally.

King earned himself his own 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty for running through a quick “Hit Dem Folks” with the flag, but who cares? The Raiders got three more downs to run the clock out in their game against Buffalo, and this clip will now life on in infamy. He might not say it publicly, and Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio will probably admonish him for the celebration after the game, but deep down King knows it was worth it.

For King, it capped off an up and down game where he shanked a 28 yard punt, but also boomed a 55 yarder that bounced at the 1-yard line and was ultimately downed at the 4 while the Raiders were storming back from a 24-9 deficit. They ultimately won 38-24 after scoring 29 straight points in the second half, giving King even more reason to dance.
