It’s not quite a gopher, but a chipmunk will do.
The Minnesota Golden Gophers opened up their college football season at home against TCU on Thursday night, and they had their hands full trying to match up against the No. 2-ranked Horned Frogs. It came down to the wire, but, ultimately, TCU came away with a 23-17 victory to get their season underway on a positive note.
But credit Minnesota for utilizing all the help they could get in pursuit of the win, including playing the famous ‘Dramatic Chipmunk’ meme on their jumbotron in an attempt to distract opposing kickers during field goals.

It’s a pretty great way to try and throw your opponent’s off their game, and — at the very least — it’s sure to get a chuckle out of fans in attendance.
