The Tarp Tried To Ruin A Poor Unsuspecting Grounds Crew Member At A Pirates Game

The people who work at baseball stadiums do their jobs well and for little to no credit. I’m not just talking about players, coaches and umpires, but stadium workers, ushers, concessions workers, ticket takers, and yes, even mascots. But the grounds crew takes it to the next level. They’re out there firing on all cylinders to give us attendees the full experience down to the last blade of grass.

Nobody said that job was easy. Or safe. As one person found out during a rain delay in Tuesday’s game between the Padres and the Pirates in Pittsburgh, even the grounds crew is subjected to the scorn of Mother Nature.

The tarp ate that guy right up. Hopefully he is okay, and a kind word or two from none other than Brandon Weeden might be in order.  Everything is dangerous, and we should never go outside ever.
