RIP Nelson Frazier, Jr., AKA Big Daddy V Viscera, AKA King Mabel, 1971-2014

Sad news out of the wrestling world this morning as Nelson Frazier Jr., a wrestler you might know as Mabel of Men On A Mission, King Mabel, Viscera or Big Daddy V, has passed away from a heart attack at the age of 43. This news comes to us from an expected but sad place: his original tag team partner Bobby Horne, aka “Mo.”

The 6-foot-9, nearly 500-pound Frazier’s wrestling career spanned three decades, taking him from “gigantic rapping guy” to “arrogant king,” eventually leading to him becoming “Viscera,” one of the Undertaker’s minions in The Ministry. After a while, WWE did what they do to a lot of heavyset or ugly guys — they made him a “lover” character who humped people and got aggressive with the ladies. It all sounds ridiculous, but Frazier made a mark on the sport, winning the WWE Hardcore and Tag Team titles on one occasion each, and famously taking the King of the Ring tournament in 1995. He even went to Japan, winning the AJPW All Asia Tag Team Championship in 2011.

Frazier’s friends and family have our sincerest condolences. Here are a few clips of Frazier in action, if you’ve never seen him:

RIP, big man.
