It feels like too long since we’ve gotten to watch both Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor take their talents inside the Octagon for the UFC. Both are coming off shocking defeats — Rousey at the hands of Holly Holm last November, and McGregor to Nate Diaz in March — and looking to reclaim their titles. But, still, anxiously we wait.
However, both did recently step inside the cage for Bud Light, as they whooped some mannequin ass to help promote the Bud Light Living series partnership with the UFC. McGregor and Rousey showed off their best finishing moves on their styrofoam victims, and both went straight for decapitation.
McGregor gets extra points for launching his mannequin’s head straight out of the Octagon. In case there was any doubt, you probably shouldn’t mess with that guy.
The two fighters also went head-to-head in what was basically a cardboard Whac-A-Mole challenge.
It’s always nice to see two of the UFC’s biggest stars showcase their skills on the mat, but — please, for the love of it all — can we just get them back to fighting for titles and not beer? There’s only so much joy that can be had from watching them destroy inanimate adversaries.
