Ronda Rousey Congratulates Holly Holm And Sings With Selena Gomez In Her ‘SNL’ Monologue

Ronda Rousey made her first major public appearance since losing to Holly Holm in UFC 193 during tonight’s snow-covered SNL. It didn’t take long for the MMA superstar to acknowledge the stunning knockout. During her monologue, Rousey, after making the obligatory getting punched in the face joke, quickly congratulated Holm, before adding, “That’s enough.”

From there, her monologue was treated like a title fight, with Kenan Thompson advising her to throw out applause lines (“Who here likes cake?”), bring out Kate McKinnon as Justin Bieber, and sing a song. There are many things Rousey can do — like star in Road House — but singing isn’t one of them. So out came Selena Gomez, who performed “Come and Get It.”

It was a promising start to the opposite of a do-nothing episode (hopefully).
