A New Donald Sterling Recording Was Released By A Rapper Named Maserati

You might think that Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling might try to keep his mouth shut when talking to anyone who isn’t his lawyer right now. You might think that. But you’d be wrong. In yet another example of how this guy has no clue what’s going on around him, the Daily Mail has reportedly obtained new audio of a conversation between Sterling and a hip hop artist named Maserati. Man, when you can’t even trust your closest rapper friends who named themselves after cars with poor resale value, then who the hell can you trust?

In this latest act of the ongoing play, “How to Lose Billionaire Friends and Alienate a Sports League,” Sterling told Maserati, who was recording him the whole time, that he thinks that President Obama only made a comment about Sterling’s racist remarks because America’s leader needs to get some of those high traffic clicks with the SEO buzzwords.

“I think that was such bad judgment on his part to make a flippant comment from Malaysia,” Sterling said of the president. “He’s a good guy, and I like him, I just think everybody wants to get into the act, is that it?” (Via MSN)

Any other hot nuggets of “Please stop already!” wisdom? Perhaps anything about the Holocaust?

“‘She said blacks are treated in California like where all the Jews were killed, you know what I mean? Where was that? The, um, you know.”

All right, this is getting way beyond ridiculous. Let’s find out more about aspiring hip hop artist Maserati, who most of us had never heard of in our lives before he possibly violated Califronia laws by recording his “friend.” Fortunately, we don’t need to look far, because CNN’s Don Lemon stopped the search for airplane-stealing unicorns long enough to ask Maserati all about his alleged six-year friendship with Sterling.

Maserati’s a good friend, though. He told Lemon that in all the years that he has known Sterling, the Clips owner has never shown any signs of being racist. So how did Maserati meet Sterling in the first place anyway? He used to handle escorts in Vegas and Sterling was a client. In related news, Shelly Sterling signed her divorce papers. That’s not a punchline.
