All This Sports Anchor Could Do After The Capitals’ Elimination Was Drink On-Air

It’s been a tough week for Washington Capitals fans. Once again, the Caps had another fantastic regular season followed up by a disappointing performance playoff run that didn’t make it past round two.

After winning the Presidents Trophy and establishing themselves as the clear frontrunner in a weak Eastern Conference, this was supposed to be the Capitals’ year to shed the label of perennial postseason losers. Obviously, that didn’t happen, and now their fans are left with another long offseason to think about it.

Luckily for CSN Mid-Atlantic’s Michael Jenkins, he’s got alcohol and alcohol is a friend that will help him through these tough times. The sports anchor even brought his friend to work and sipped/chugged on the air as he eulogized the hockey team that drove him to drink away his sorrows.

We’ll just have to take his word that there’s actually booze in that glass, but the disappointment surrounding the Caps is real enough to believe it. It’s a bold move, but one that has to be respected, especially considering the chug that had no regards for the life of his suit.

chug

Hopefully he can go more than a few rounds without being knocked on his ass, which is more than can be said for the Capitals.
