Ronda Rousey And Caroline Wozniacki Are Featured In This Year’s SI Swimsuit Edition

This year’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition includes tennis player Caroline Wozniacki and UFC champ Ronda Rousey. It’s the first time either of the two have appeared in the magazine’s annual issue. Over the last few years, Sports Illustrated has made a conscious effort to include female athletes in their spread. Alex Morgan, Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova and Lindsey Vonn are some of the few who have been prominently featured.

Ronda Rousey talked about her weight ahead of the issue:

“I purposely tried to get a little bit heavier for the ‘SI’ issue so I was a little bit curvier and not in top fight shape look but the look at which I feel I’m the most attractive,” she said. “It’s very natural for a person’s body to go through seasons.”

Caroline Wozniacki talked about her photoshoot in Florida:

“The sunsets are splendid, and there’s something very calming about communing with dolphins. (And manatees, and the 200 species of birds that inhabit the area for much of the year),” her feature in the magazine reads.

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition hits newsstands this week.
