One would be quite safe in assuming that sumo wrestlers don’t often hit the local track to get laps in or race the competition. But as evidenced in the video above, it happened recently, and it was glorious as hell.
My only complaint here is that these three wrestlers only competed in the 40-yard dash, thus only providing a few seconds worth of hilarity, but I guess I’m just being greedy. Also, I could complain that the guy in lane two needs to invest in a tighter diaper thing but, to be honest, it kind of adds to the comedy factor here.
In all seriousness, though, it’s kind of impressive that men this size can move so quickly. Sumo racing should be an Olympic sport.
