The Seahawks’ Michael Bennett Compared The Panthers To A Cousin You’d Like To Date

When Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett looks across the field on Saturday night during the NFC divisional game between the Seahawks and Carolina Panthers, he’ll see a lot of similarities between the two teams. They both have mobile quarterbacks, a power running game, and championship quality defenses. To Bennett, it’s almost like looking in a mirror. Or like dating your cousin, perhaps.

“It’s so much alike, man. It’s like you look at a girl who looks like you, and you find out it’s your cousin, so you can’t go on a date with her even though you’d like to, because she looks like you. But then you see her friend, and her friend’s really hot, and you’re like, ‘that’s not my cousin,’ so it’s good.”

Okay so Ernest Hemingway he is not, but I agree with him on his central point and can’t wait for Saturday’s game. Hopefully he didn’t hold any tickets for family though because that could raise eyebrows.
