Things Continue To Get Nasty Between Ronda Rousey And Bethe Correia

This past Father’s Day was particularly tough for UFC champ Ronda Rousey. As many fans are aware, Ronda’s father killed himself when she was only 8. She rarely talks about it publicly but has called it, “the most formative event” of her life.

“None of us were the same after that. I never wanted to be in the situation where I’ve told the story so many times that I become detached from it and don’t cry.”

In the last few months, Ronda has traded barbs in the media with her UFC 190 opponent, Bethe Correia. At one point, things got overly personal and downright mean.

Bethe Correia:

“She is winning, so everybody is around her cheering her up, but when she realizes she is not everything that she believes she is, I don’t know what might happen. I hope she does not kill herself later on (laughs).”

To which Rousey responded.

On Sunday, Ronda revisited the issue on Instagram. It’s fair to say she’s still pretty angry about it (rightfully so).

Rousey-Correia is set for UFC 190 on Aug. 1. Hopefully these two don’t kill each other before that.
