This First Pitch By J-Pop’s WORLD ORDER Was Amazingly Delightful

WORLD ORDER has long been a favorite of mine, which isn’t hard to understand since the front man, Genki Sudo, is one of my most favorite retired MMA fighters. In addition to being the leader of the greatest robot dance choreography J-Pop group in the world, Sudo has also managed a baseball team for players 30 years and older. This obviously made WORLD ORDER the perfect choice to throw out the first pitch for a Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles game.

First, WORLD ORDER takes the field and now I want every sports team to use the same method.

Uh-oh, it looks like nobody in WORLD ORDER actually knows how to pitch. This might be an issue.

With any issues about how to actually pitch sorted out, it’s time for the customary bow to the catcher.

And now, the windup! I’m sure it’s not sound defensive strategy to have the other players flail behind the pitcher as a distraction, but I bet it works.

I was kind of hoping the rest of WORLD ORDER would fan out behind Genki and pantomime a windup to give a slow motion look, but this works well, too. The pitch itself could have been a little better, but it’s certainly not in the WORST FIRST PITCH EVER category.
