BFFs Tiger Woods and Roger Federer were their usual selves yesterday, winning whatever golf and tennis tournaments were going on.
Federer's victory over Novak Djokovic gets top billing, as this U.S. Open title is his fourth consecutive win at Flushing Meadows. Federer won in straight sets yet again, but was less dominant than usual in earning his 12th Grand Slam title, two shy of Pete Sampras's career record.
Woods, meanwhile, won the BMW Championship — whatever that is — for his 60th PGA Tour victory, placing him in the lead for the FedEx Cup, whatever that is. Woods finished the tournament with a 22-under 262 to break the course record for 72 holes by five shots. So, I guess he's still good.
In conclusion, WOOO!!! Football's back!!!
