The Ultimate Fighter Nations Live Results And Discussion

Wednesday nights are all right for fighting is what nobody has ever told me ever. Someone must have told that to Dana White, though, since The Ultimate Fighter: Nations finale is coming to us from Quebec on a Wednesday night! Immediately following the live fights, we’ve got the premiere episode of The Ultimate Fighter 19, featuring head coaches BJ Penn and Frankie Edgar!

Before we jump into the live discussion aspect, take some time to review the With Leather Staff Predictions, and heck, throw in some picks of your own.

Things kick off on Fight Pass at 3:15 PM ET (Really? DANGIT), and uh, I guess there’s a Mark Bocek fight on that. He’s pretty neat, usually. Everyone else is a mystery to me. Oh well.

The regular prelims move to Fox Sports 1 at 5:00 PM ET, and hey, look, I actually recognize some fighters! George Roop versus Dustin Kimura should be fun, as long as the air conditioning doesn’t blow Roop away. Sam Stout and KJ Noons should have a really fun kickboxing match, complete with hair tousling, but I’m really looking forward to the Sarah Kaufman vs Leslie Smith rematch. It’s a fact that women’s fights are always rad, and these two had a super rad fight in Invicta a while back. Time to start round four, ladies!

The main card stays on Fox Sports 1 at 7:00 PM ET. Those two TUF Nations finale fights are blank patches to me, but at least we get Dustin Poirier submitting the fedora off of Akira Corassani’s head! The coach fight between Patrick Cote and Kyle Noke has some promise, as does the main event. Tim Kennedy and Michael Bisping have the potential to put on a very good fight, but there’s a much larger chance it’s extremely dull due to Bisping’s point-fighting style.

Anyway, there are a ton of good fights on the docket, and best of all, I might actually be able to watch some of it live! Yay!
