This Week's Most Exciting Baseball Moment Happened In A Bear's Mouth

During yesterday’s Cincinnati Reds Cactus League game against the Kansas City Royals, hard-throwing closer Aroldis Chapman was cracked just above the eye with a 110 MPH line drive off the bat of Salvador Perez. It was horrifying, and although reports coming out this morning say he’s “doing better,” you can only do so well after your face gets crushed by a baseball.

In more pleasant, less scarring Baseball In The Face news, Tuesday’s game between the Minnesota Twins and Tampa Bay Rays involved a bear catching a ball with his mouth. Baseball news is a grand spectrum, folks.
