WWE Raw 5/20/13 Quick Results

If you’d like to know what happened on tonight’s WWE Raw but don’t want to read star ratings and wordy paragraphs to decipher it, With Leather is here for you. Here’s what happened on the May 20, 2013, episode of WWE Raw:

– The show opened with Ryback driving an ambulance into the arena, challenging John Cena to an Ambulance Match at the next pay-per-view event, WWE Payback.

1. Chris Jericho and The Miz defeated Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett and Fandango. Fandango abandoned the match in the middle in favor of dancing on the outside with Summer Rae. Barrett submitted to a figure-four leg lock from The Miz. After the match, Jericho and Miz confronted Fandango, who quickly escaped through the crowd, leaving Summer Rae behind. Jericho teased being interested in Summer Rae, but turned her down.

2. Sheamus defeated Titus O’Neil. Lots of jokes about Titus being Irish. Sheamus won with a Brogue Kick.

– Paul Heyman introduced his newest client, Curtis Axel. Axel is a repackaged Michael McGillicutty, who you may remember from the New Nexus, NXT or the several times he won the tag team titles. Triple H interrupted, shoving Axel down and making a Triple H vs. Curtis Axel match for later on in the show.

3. Big E Langston defeated Alberto Del Rio. AJ distracted the referee by throwing in Ricardo’s bucket, allowing Langston to rake Del Rio in the eyes and hit The Big Ending for the three.

4. AJ Lee defeated Layla. AJ won by submission with the Black Widow octopus hold.

5. Cody Rhodes defeated Zack Ryder. Cody pinned Ryder after a Disaster Kick. After the match, Ryback stomped down to the ring and brutalized Ryder, ultimately carrying him up the ramp and tossing him into the back of the ambulance he’d driven in to start the show.

6. The Shield defeated Team Hell No and Kofi Kingston. The Shield won an almost 25-minute match when Reigns connected with a spear and pinned Kane.

7. Randy Orton defeated Jack Swagger. Guess how!

8. Triple vs. Curtis Axel was a No Contest. Triple H dominated the match, but fell ill outside the ring and couldn’t continue.
