WWE Raw results:

– The show began with Edge hosting ‘The Cutting Edge.’ His guest was supposed to be Randy Orton, but he instead spoke with Daniel Bryan. This brought out Orton and then Triple H, and after a verbal confrontation Triple H ejected Edge from the building and made Dean Ambrose vs. Daniel Bryan (with Big Show in Bryan’s corner) for the night’s main-event. The Shield revealed that they’d beaten up Christian, to further threaten Edge.

1. Kofi Kingston defeated Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel. Kofi won by disqualification when Axel would not stop attacking him with knees to the back in the corner. Paul Heyman’s fear of Axel leaving him alone in the upcoming Night of Champions match with CM Punk was played up.

2. Bray Wyatt defeated Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler fought off Wyatt Family interference, but got caught with a corner splash and a Sister Abigail for the pinfall.

– Backstage, Paul Heyman pretended to slip on water and injure himself. He backed out of the Night of Champions match on the advice of his doctor, but Brad Maddox made him be evaluated by WWE doctors. The WWE doctors said Heyman was fine, and Heyman ran away when CM Punk ran to the ring with a kendo stick. Punk then beat up Heyman’s doctor.

3. Natalya, Naomi and Brie Bella defeated Layla, Alicia Fox and Aksana. AJ Lee was on commentary. Natalya won the match for her team via submission with a Sharpshooter on Alicia Fox.

4. Alberto Del Rio defeated R-Truth. Del Rio won by submission with a cross arm-breaker.

5. Santino Marella defeated Antonio Cesaro. This was Santino’s return match to Raw. Santino won with a roll-up. During the match, Cesaro got a “holy sh*t” chant for an extended giant swing.

6. Damien Sandow defeated The Miz. Sandow took advantage of a distraction from Fandango and rolled Miz up for three.

7. Randy Orton defeated Goldust. A pre-match stipulation said that if Goldust won, Cody Rhodes would get his job back. Orton won a competitive match with an RKO. After the match, both Orton and Stephanie McMahon chastised Goldust for not getting the job done.

8. Rob Van Dam defeated Ryback. Van Dam won via disqualification when Ryback crotched him on the outside of the ring post. After the match, Ryback Shell Shocked RVD for good measure.

9. Daniel Bryan defeated United States Champion Dean Ambrose. Big Show was made to sit at ringside, but told not to touch the members of the Shield or he’d be fired. Bryan fought off all three members of the group and small packaged Ambrose for the win out of nowhere. After the match, The Shield and Randy Orton jumped Bryan. Triple H ordered Show to once again pick Daniel Bryan up and knock him out, but Show resisted. Bryan was able to come back with a running knee and take out Orton.
