Yoda Showed Up At Saturday’s Texas Rangers Game And Expressed His Hatred For The Wave

The wave is the John Cena of things that happen at sporting events: some people love it, some people don’t, and there is no middle ground. At every game, the wave starts up, and people either get way too into it or get a scowl on their face because the wave is still a thing. As it turns out, everyone’s favorite short green Jedi Master is among those who are in the latter group.

The wave must have started during Saturday’s game between the Texas Rangers and the Cleveland Indians. Suddenly, Yoda showed up on the jumbotron at Globe Life Park in Arlington and gave the following message to all of those who wanted to stand up and throw their arms in the air in unison.

The wave is the path to the dark side. Once you start down the wave’s dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny.

This is silly, but it’s also pretty harsh. While the wave is kind of dumb, to say that participating in it will lead you down a dark path that will forever dominate your destiny is rough. Unless, of course, any of you have ever participated in the wave and you eventually turned into a super villain. If that’s the case, then please let us know and we’ll make sure that no one ever does the wave again.
