'Pluto Nash 2', anyone?
Eddie Murphy will return for Beverly Hills Cop 4 in March 2016.
Back at Paramount after his split with Disney, Lone Ranger producer Jerry Bruckheimer's first project will reportedly be Beverly Hills Cop 4, starring Eddie Murphy, and directed by everyone's favorite, Brett Ratner.
There's been news of a fourth Beverly Hills Cop movie going all the way back to 2008 when Brett Ratner was attached.
In news that I must have set my brain’s news filter to ignore at all costs, the much-hyped pilot for a Beverly Hills Cop TV series was actually passed on by the decision-makers at CBS, which means that they simply thought it wasn’t good enough to pair with something as powerful as Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar playing a father-son ad agency team.
Eddie Murphy, whom you may remember from such recent movie premises as "I'm a workaholic spiritually connected to a tree, and with every word I say a leaf falls off and when the last leaf falls I die," is currently shopping a Beverly Hills Cop TV series with The Shield creator Shawn Ryan.
The only thing Eddie Murphy does less than interviews is make good movies, so when he recently sat down with Rolling Stone to address both, it was kind of a big deal.
I’m pretty sure this story is like six months old, but if MTV says it’s new who am I to argue.
Murphy congratulates Ratner on his birthday present from grandma As previously reported, Beverly Hills Cop 4 will team Eddie Murphy with Brett Ratner, because besides a penchant for shitty movies, they both love trannies.
Last week The Hollywood Reporter was reporting that Brett Ratner was all but confirmed to direct a remake of One of Hollywood's most persuasive salesman, [Conan producer Avi] Lerner told me this morning that Ratner was the perfect director.
Brett Ratner recently confirmed to E! that he's still planning to team up with Eddie Murphy for the most fantastically shitty piece of shit in the history of shit Beverly Hills Cop 4.
A while back, Brett Ratner told MTV that he wanted Beverly Hills Cop 4 to have the same effect on 10 and 12-year-old kids that the original had on him.
I try to use this clip in conjunction with any Ratner-related post.
