Your last memories of Consequence may be of him being enamored with ruffling the feathers of Kanye, but when your skill set is a sharp as a syringe tip, no distractions can quell your desire to keep the block flooded with material.

Estelle Feat. Rick Ross – “Break My Heart”

By | 7 Comments

This time of the year, I judge music by cookout standards. Would it get played in the first place? And if so, at what point does it come on? Of course it's odd, but it's something I've been doing for years mainly because I love cookouts nearly as much as I love music; if not more. Estelle's tag team collaboration with Rozay, "Break My Heart," feels as if it would be better suited to play while dusk turns into night and while soberness makes way for inebriation.

Estelle, David Banner & Daley – “Benz” Video

125 years. That's a mighty long time to have a company be renown for excellence and high-class standards. Very few can attest to such longevity and Mercedes-Benz just so happens to be a part of the club. Together with their signature emblem and innovative labeling system for their vehicles, they have been staples in the world where four wheels meet the pavement not only for mobility, but for equal parts style for some time. In all fairness, it's the only German engineering the entire world ever unanimously agreed on. Milestone anniversaries deserve a grand celebration or at the least, an exclusive coronation and the folks in the music department put their resources together with Blag Magazine to unify three very distinctive talents to remake a Janis Joplin record.

Just as it seems Estelle was too far gone in being a glamour girl, she bursts off the runway and back into the music scene with a new tape. Well...almost. Consisting of snippets, randoms and pure London swag, Ms. Darlings links up with DJ Trauma for the Twitter-fueled #ialmostmadeamixtape with cameos from Nas, Kardinal Offishall, Maino and surprisingly John Legend.

If you don't respect Cee-Lo Green's musical talents, or shall I say 'perfect imperfections', there's a slim chance I may lose respect for you musically.

Estelle Feat. Sean Paul – “Come Over” (Remix)

By | 13 Comments

With college and pro football in full swing, summer is effectively over save for the autumnal equinox still to come on the calender. You can't blame Estelle and Sean Paul for trying to squeeze the last drops out of it though. The original was one of my favorites off of Shine and I thought it could have made a little noise as a single. This will suffice though, as Sean Paul comes in and adds to the nice island vibe of the song. So grab a sangria, beer or one those drinks with an umbrella and enjoy the last bit of this fleeting sunshine. Estelle Feat. Sean Paul - "Come Over" (Remix).
