BAFTA nominations: THE IRON LADY FOR SCREENPLAY?!?!

The BAFTAs, aka the British Oscars, released their list of nominees today, and while it was nice to finally see The Guard and Attack the Block get some recognition (for original screenplay and outstanding debut by a British, respectively), they managed to nominate the <a href="http://filmdrunk.uproxx.com/2012/01/review-the-iron-lady-is-even-worse-than-you-think" target="_blank">worst film of the year</a> for TWO AWARDS.

I've talked a lot of crap about the Golden Globes in the past, how they're run by a shadowy cabal of foreign journalists who work for publications no one's heard of and have closed membership, and generally choose nominees based on who throws the best parties, but after this year, I may have to rescind my criticism.
