China’s Military Software Makes Sony Look Secure

China likes to rip off other people’s stuff. That’s no secret. What’s more of a secret is the fact that whenever China can’t rip off somebody’s stuff, it turns out they’re kind of awful and untalented.

Look no further than the fact that Sunway ForceControl Technologies, a Beijing-based company that makes most of China’s military software, has products so bug-riddled and easy for hackers to pull a Wargames on that it’s a threat to public infrastructure. To be fair, part of the problem is that these systems were never designed to be hooked up to the Internet, but apparently these are bug festivals even by that excuse’s standards.

So basically, LulzSec could mess with the Chinese and probably ruin big chunks of China, and there’s absolutely nothing China can do about it. Let’s hope they don’t have the nukes hooked up to this stuff.
