Apple And Netflix Become Streaming Video Transformer

Well, this is interesting: buried in Apple’s largely expected and kinda boring iPad presentation, it was revealed that Netflix can now be paid for via iTunes.

Why is that interesting? Because it makes enrollment as simple as accepting a EULA and clicking a button. With that and 1080p HD support for the new Apple TV, it basically turns Netflix into an app that Apple customers don’t have to think about.

The payments angle is also interesting, of course, since this means Apple is slowly becoming your de facto digital wallet, but we’re honestly much more interested in how suddenly two huge corporations are making beautiful music together, and we wonder what it means for Apple’s Magic Television.

Now, Apple, how about some Hulu?
