And why would one do this? First of all, it’s actually a pretty good program for taking those shiny discs you bought perfectly legally and backing them up in a perfectly legal manner. Secondly, it lets you convert them into, say, AVI files for watching on your netbook during excruciatingly long trips on the bus.
Of course, it’s absolutely terrible for putting the valuable intellectual property of various gigantic film studios that will sue you out of existence on the Internet for free. It can’t help with that at all.
