Here’s The First Clip From Zach Galifianakis And Louis C.K.’s New FX Show

Louis C.K. is taking a break from Louie, but he’ll still be moping around FX, stealing any lunch bag not properly marked from the company fridge. He’s the co-creator of both Better Things, starring Pamela Adlon as a mom who tries to mix business with pleasure (can she have it all???), and the Zach Galifianakis vehicle Baskets. As a reminder, here’s that show’s log line:

In a world constrained by corporate interests and the homogenization of society, one man in Bakersfield, California, dares to follow his dream of becoming a professional clown. But after an unsuccessful enrollment at a prestigious clowning school in Paris, the only job he can find is with the local rodeo. Baskets follows Chip Baskets’ (Zach Galifianakis) pursuit of his dream, against all odds, to be a respected clown. (Via)

Every episode should start with Galifianakis looking into the camera and saying, “Chip Baskets, respected clown.” That’s Emmy-winning material right there. Unfortunately, we don’t see any clown makeup in the clip above, which is our first look at the series that’s set to premiere in January. But it does have Galifianakis yelling “SCHWEPPES,” which is the next best thing.

Meanwhile, you can catch Galifianakis in Mastermindseventually (probably?).
