Introducing TLC’s New Lineup

Cake Boss/19 Kids and Counting (TLC) — Other shows in the new TLC lineup: “Dwarf Hoarders,” ‘Uterus Cannon,” and “Little People, Tricky Fridge.” (Thanks to Tim for the video.)

Being Human (Syfy) — I watched the premiere of this a couple weeks back. At the time, I formulated a thoughtful but brief critique that cut straight to the show’s weakness. But I forgot exactly what that was, so I’ve revised it to “this show sucks.”

Lie to Me (Fox) — Season finale. If this seems like a weird time to have a season finale, that’s because “Lie to Me” was used to fill the sucking chest wound of ratings that was “Lone Star.” Aww, remember when people tried to save “Lone Star”? That was cute.

The Cape (NBC) — I caught about half an episode of this last week (or maybe it was two weeks ago). It’s not great, but it’s certainly better than “Chuck.” For all the nerd-love it gets, “Chuck” has some of the laziest, crappiest action scenes on TV.

RuPaul’s Drag Race (Logo) — Not really my cup of tea, but I try to be inclusive from time to time, because I realize that I skew straight and white. Sorry, minorities.

LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Justin Bieber on Letterman, Amy Poehler on Conan, Bill Gates on “The Daily Show,” Adam Sandler and Larry the Cable Guy on Leno (shoot me in the face), Jamie Foxx on Lopez, Julianna Margulies on Kimmel, and Adam Scott on Jimmy Fallon.
