Chris Brown Is Perfectly Calm

Chris Brown is trying to move past his violent beating of Rihanna,  and is now making the rounds to promote his new album. So he went on “Good Morning America,” where Robin Roberts asked him a couple questions about Rihanna, which he deflected by talking about his album (video below). He handled it pretty well, right up until the point when he screamed like a maniac, smashed a window with a chair, and left the Times Square studio shirtless.

[A]fter the interview, Brown freaked out, storming into his dressing room and screaming so loud, the people in hair and makeup became alarmed and called security.

We’re told Brown was out of control, and one source present tells us he smashed a window in his dressing room, and the glass shattered and some shards fell onto 43rd and Broadway. ABC security tells TMZ the window was shattered with a chair.

We’re told by the time security rushed the area, Brown had ripped off his shirt and left the building, blowing off another performance he was supposed to do for the ABC website. [TMZ]

Brown then tweeted (and deleted) this:

“I’m so over people bringing this past s**t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there [sic] bulls**t.”

I don’t think we’re “praising” Charlie Sheen; I’d say we’re treating him like a decrepit roller coaster: maintaining a safe distance while waiting for it to collapse and kill dozens. Besides, Sheen has the common decency to only menace hookers and porn stars, whereas Brown punched a pretty pop starlet who sings really catchy hooks. Dude, don’t mess with my enjoyment of “Umbrella.”
