Hope for the Future: ‘Reality Rocks’ Expo a Complete Bomb

Well, this is a relief: Reality Rocks — the reality TV expo that threatened our way of life — was a huge failure this past weekend.

Lacking premiere attractions or A-list reality stars, the first day of the two-day expo… drew only sparse crowds to the Los Angeles Convention Center. Sessions featuring stars and personalities from “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” “Shark Tank” and “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” were far from full.

Other panels in cavernous meeting rooms featuring lower-ranked contestants from past seasons of “American Idol” drew embarrassingly small audiences. [LA Times]

The second day wasn’t any better, probably because Omarosa was on a panel where she said, “I believe there are 15 minutes of fame for me in every hour.” Ugh.

The organizers of this should take heart: sure, it was a failure in terms of attendance, but it was a huge success in that none of the reality TV personalities were killed by a marauding gunman or a series of pipe bombs. Oh well, maybe next year.
