Conan O’Brien has repeatedly stated that his beard isn’t permanent, and it appears that its days are officially numbered. Apparently, Will Ferrell — who shared the stage with Conan the last time O’Brien appeared on TV clean-shaven — will shave every “rusty pube” from O’Brien’s face when he visits the show on May 2nd.
I suppose some people will talk about how the beard is a symbol of the New Conan that launched the successful national tour in the wake of his exit from NBC blah blah blah, but I’d prefer not to wax nostalgic about it. It’s just facial hair. It’s not like John Travolta’s divorcing Kelly Preston.
