Yuuuup: Aisha Tyler Joins ‘The Talk’

Aisha Tyler is most famous around here for providing the voice of Lana Kane on FX’s “Archer,” but she also has plenty of experience (and skill) as a TV host: she hosted “Talk Soup” on E!, has filled in for Craig Ferguson on “The Late Late Show,” and shot a talk show pilot for ABC two years ago. So it makes sense that she’s joining CBS’s “The Talk.”

The actress-comedian will serve as a co-host alongside Julie Chen, show co-creator Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood, starting Monday [today].

Tyler becomes the second new co-host on the show, following Underwood, who joined the talker for its second season, which premiered Sept. 6. Her casting came on the heels of the recent departures of Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete. Original co-host Marissa Jaret Winokur also exited early this year. [THR]

I’m obviously not the right demographic for “The Talk,” but I approve of Aisha Tyler in anything and everything. I just wanna see her give Sharon Osbourne the Lana stinkeye every time Osbourne speaks.

Side note: it seems like “The Talk” would be the perfect forum for someone to say, “My vulva is as smooth as a veal cutlet!”
